Jemima Goldsmith reacts to PM Khan’s remarks on sexual abuse and nudity

During live telephonic conservation with a Pakistani person, Prime Minister Imran Khan shared his views about nudity and its impact on sexual crimes. Imran Khan said, “The reason why our religion asks [made it obligatory] for covering up your body and maintain modesty, is to avoid any such temptation. Not everyone has the power to avoid it”.

What Prime Minister said was a fact but many liberal and secular people condemned his statement calling that “It is, somehow, justification of crime that rapists do“. The question arises if talking about Islamic prospect becomes the justification then why they [liberals] call it a disease and was against the decision of publically hanging the culprit? Isn’t it the justification too?

Talking about Imran Khan’s statement, his ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith quoted in her Tweet that it’s not the Imran Khan I knew. She further added that;

I’m hoping this is a misquote/ mistranslation. The Imran I knew used to say, “Put a veil on the man’s eyes, not on the woman.”
